KISS ME KITTY !

HELLO!!!
I'm sorry for the long unplanned break, but this period has been very busy and generous in viruses and rain!
Everybody is fine now, but I've still lot of things to do and I apologise for the lack of visits or comments in your blogs!
I'm really excited to do an outfit post because today is the first sunny day of the month and I can wear my favourite pair of leggings that my friend Cristi from Kiss Me Kitty sent me!!

Her leggings are made with love in Portland and with the most soft and fabulous spandex I've ever seen.
I wasn't sure about my size because during winter I put on some weight and I'm tall, so at first I felt miserable to tell her I was a size S.
I try them on feeling guilty to have declared a wrong size to a friend just to be vain, but because of the wonderful fabric they perfectly fit and I was so relievied !

I love this photoshoot on her website

Magic Land - Romance Was Born Ready to Wear S/S 2013/14

Our darling and uber gorgeous Helga Von Trollop wrote me in a comment about an Australian fashion brand that I would have probably love and she was right..as usual!!
Romance was born, this is the intriguing brand name, is designed by Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales, the pair is well known for their ability to transform fashion into a heavenly carousel full of astoundment.

Plunkett and Sales are often inspired by other artists and usually they invite them to collaborate exploring  new creative processes and context. In this collection the creative duo and landscape artists Pip & Pop answer their call and outside their comfort zone they reinvented themself as accessories designers.
I love Pip & Pop so this collection is just perfect and inspiring, I imagined their creations as 60's doll alien creatures from Wonderland.

This is Pip & Pop installation 'We Miss You Magic Land', they reproduced it on the catwalk.

Obviously I've added a personal touch, in my own Magic Land vision there is a twist of macabre and Mia Farrow's style in Rosemary's Baby is my iconic sick , mental elaboration of this collection.

Come on over and do the twist

I had a great Easter weekend, I really needed to go out, take a break and meet some friends.
Probabily I over did it and I got a terrible cold again, why I underrate winter clothes so much?
But well I don't regret nothing !
Yesterday I got in the mail a great treasury box from my friend Lucy @ Lucy's Lounge, she personally selected a wonderful bunch of goodies from her beautiful shop in Dublin Lucy's Lounge.
I really admire her unique style, she wears antique and vintage clothes with a personal vibe and often it takes a lot of time before one of her precious items became part of an outfit : " the ensemble can start from a shape, an image , a story, other visual sources .but when it comes to me its like an obsession to try and produce it.Sometimes it can take months to get the look together waiting on that one piece to finish it all off."
She creates her looks like an artist creates his artworks and she is a true artist.

This is my treasure:

Everything is vintage or handmade
There is a blouse, a handpainted Mermaid t shirt, a 60's evening dress, an embroidered denim belt, a flower brooch, a clutch bag made with a musical paper, a hat, a sweater and the pink scarf I used as background

A plexiglass necklace, a bracelets with matching earrings, some bangles and a Blythe doll card

All amazing presents that I love very much.

Today I decided to wear the pink evening dress, I'm very tired of all this rain and I really need colours,
Beware of the pink grunge invasion

I'm pretending to drink milk from a weird Cave man vintage bottle,
it's Friday!!

I'm wearing
Pink dress, necklace and coloured bangles: Lucy's Lounge
Heart necklace: Krista (always in my heart)
white bangles: mine
studded denim jacket: outlet store $5
Hat: made by my mommy

I think my photoshoot disturbingly looks like this picture I found on my laptop after I edited it, it wasn't intentional.

Happy Weekend !!!

Spring Break

I'm very excited for the realise of Harmony Korine's new film "Spring Breakers" not only because he's one of my favourite directors, but because this time actor, director, writer, teacher, great and powerful and my imaginary boyfriend James Franco is in it!
I know that I'll have to wait few months before watching it, but meanwhile I'm dreaming about it, reading a lot of articles and watching a lot of photos and scenes online, basically I'm totally ruin with a great amount of spoilers the final surprise but well, internet could be a double edged sword for the curiouses like me.

I decided to write a post about it because there is an unexpectedly fashionable side, the brand Opening Ceremony launched in these days  a  limited edition, capsule collection in collaboration with Heidi Bivens who designed "Spring Breakers"'s costumes.

Aliens, Unicorns and bikinis are the main themes of this collection, inspired by the movie's female characters (played by Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Rachel Korine andAshley Benson).

I Know, my Art School teacher always said to me that I should be acting In Hollywood and not painting and living here
